Whatever job you’ve got in mind, the Chevy Silverado HD can probably handle it. In case you were curious about just how much the Silverado can pull and haul, we’ve put together this convenient round up of their towing capacities.

The 2015 Silverado 2500HD Towing Capacities

The 2015 Silverado 2500HD gets a 6.0L Vortec V8 standard that cranks out 360 hp and 380 lb-ft of torque. When equipped with that engine, the Silverado 2500HD can tow up to 13,000 pounds with a conventional hitch. Upgrade to a fifth-wheel, and you can pull up to 14,800 pounds!

Upgrade to the 6.6L Duramax turbodiesel V8, and you’ll have 397 hp and 765 lb-ft of torque on tap. That lets you tow up to 13,000 pounds with a traditional hitch, and tow up to 17,900 pounds with a fifth wheel hitch.

The 2015 Silverado 3500HD Towing Capacties

With the 2015 Silverado 3500HD, most of the max ratings are roughly the same, save for a few important exceptions. When you go for the dual rear wheel configuration you can tow up to 23,200 pounds with a fifth wheel trailer. You can also haul an astonishing 7,374 pounds in the bed.

All of these numbers are maximums for when the truck is properly equipped. You’ll have to make sure you have the right towing accessories and connections, and most numbers are highest when equipped with two wheel drive. Disclaimers aside, these are some of the best numbers that any truck has ever featured.
