How to Program a Chevy Garage Door Opener

1. Switch on your ignition while your car is pointing towards the garage.
2. Locate your vehicle Homelink buttons. They’ll be on the visor, rearview mirror, or the overhead console.
3. Press your preferred Homelink control button and the remote control button while holding the remote control 1 to 3 inches from the Homelink buttons.
4. Press the remote control button until the Homelink indicator lights up.
5. Press the Homelink controller button twice.
6. Homelink indicator light should be lit up solidly. If it is flashing, follow the troubleshooting guide below.

What If Your Chevy Garage Door Opener Isn’t Working?

If you followed the steps above and your Chevy Homelink garage door opener isn’t opening your garage door, don’t panic. Just follow the steps below:

1. Locate the “Smart” or “Learn” button on the motor in your garage that opens the garage door.
2. Push the “Smart” or “Learn” button.
3. Press the programmed Homelink control button three times.
4. Repeat the previous three steps on the two remaining Homelink buttons.
