The Equinox is available in four trim models. Take your pick from one of the following trim levels based on its unique features.
- The L offers seating for up to five passengers with a 60/40 split rear seat. You can also count on a rear vision camera, a 3-month trial of OnStar Guidance, and a 6-speaker audio system.
- The LS has the option for SiriusXM Satellite Radio, a protection package, and universal tablet holders.
- The LT adds outside heated adjustable mirrors, daytime running lights, side rails, Chevy MyLink with a 7-inch screen, and the option for driver assistance safety features.
- The Premium comes standard with heated and leather seats. The driver has an 8-way power seat, and a sport-tuned suspension is included with this trim. An upgraded 18-inch aluminum wheel set gives a premium appearance.
The mid-size SUV has a 2.4L 4-cylinder engine paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission, which generates 182 hp and 172 lb-ft of torque. The Equinox comes standard with front-wheel drive. This combination delivers an EPA-estimated 21 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway. It is optional to add the 3.6L V6 engine with 301 hp and 272 lb-ft of torque. This engine can tow up to 3,500 pounds, and it can still accelerate from 0-60 mph in only 6.7 seconds.
The Equinox has a spacious design and comfortable seating. The Multi-Flex sliding rear seats will make the most of the cargo space or leg room. In fact, this seat can create up to 8 inches of extra space for backseat passengers. With a total of 63.7 cubic feet of space, you can easily configure the interior to hold tons of cargo while shopping or moving. Your music can also sync with Chevy MyLink, which even works with voice commands. On the Chevy MyLink system, you have access to available Siri Eyes Free for iPhone users. For safety, there is an OnStar RemoteLink app that allows you to connect to your vehicle remotely. There is also a trial of an OnStar Automatic Crash Response System that delivers live assistance in the event of a crash. And of course, you can rest assured that the cabin is covered with a system of six airbags.
