First Generation Chevy Colorado Models at Biggers Chevy
Truck drivers looking for a new vehicle should consider getting behind the wheel of the Chevy Colorado at Biggers Chevrolet, the local Chevy dealer for Huntley and Roselle drivers. The 2012 model is the latest and last in a line of first generation Colorado’s. Since the very first Chevy Colorado came out in 2004, there have been a number of tweaks and changes made in order to keep this truck competitive with others in its class. We’re proud to offer our customers the latest in the line of opening generation Chevrolet Colorado models.
A New Look Colorado
In 2007, this Chevy truck model saw its first big change when the engine went from a 2.8L LK5 I4 that was installed in the Colorado from 2004-2006, to a 2.9L LLV I4 that produces 185 horsepower and 190 lb-ft of torque. In addition, owners also have the choice of a more powerful 3.7L LLR I5 engine that puts out 242 hp and 242 lb-ft of torque. Chevy also added Deep Ruby, Pace Blue, and Imperial Blue as new color choices starting in ’07, as well as new tires and changes to the grille and interior.
The 2009 Colorado got another facelift when Chevy put a 5.3L LH8 V8 engine in that produces 300 hp and 320 lb-ft of torque.
Chevy has always been proud to offer consumers plenty of options when it comes to the Chevy. Whether it’s choosing between manual or automatic transmission or deciding between a number of trim levels with different features in each, the Colorado has always been a favorite of truck drivers.
