The 2013 Chevrolet Volt Is Coming to Elgin

Biggers Chevrolet is happy to announce the upcoming arrival of the 2013 Chevrolet Volt in Elgin, as well as the surrounding areas of Schaumburg, St. Charles, and Bartlett who are looking for a mid-size, eco-friendly sedan. Word is that GM was able to double the size of the Volt's ion-lithium battery which means the 2013 Volt may be able to run for up to 80 miles on electricity alone. While no official release date has been announced, we're all awaiting the 2013 Chevrolet Volt with bated breath.

The 2013 Volt: What to Expect

Drivers in Elgin and Schaumburg will be pleased to learn that the 2013 Chevy Volt is expected to exhibit and maintain many of the standard features of its predecessor. Equipped with a 1.4L gas engine with an electric motor, the 2012 Volt is able to produce 149 hp with 273 lb-ft of torque, and we will probably see a similar amount of power in the 2013 model. Likewise, we can expect a number similar to the Volt's 35 mpg city/40 mpg highway, though Chevrolet is, of course, always looking to push those numbers up.

Safety features include comprehensive driver and passenger airbags for maximum protection. The Volt is also equipped with OnStar, which includes automatic crash response, emergency services, crisis assist, and stolen vehicle assistance. Stabilitrak electronic stability control, which helps the vehicle correct its path to avoid severe swerving, is also standard. This is great news, considering that Approximately 31% fewer fatalities happen in vehicles that are equipped with electronic stability control, according to the NHTSA.

While no official pricing has yet been announced, drivers in St. Charles and Bartlett can likely expect the 2013 Chevrolet Volt to sell near the $31,645 price point of its predecessor.
